One more chestnut tree, one less eucalyptus

24 February 2014

After a winter of rough weather, the spring is already coming and we are going to celebrate this with the reforestation of a woodland plot that had contained eucalyptus. This is why we have launched the campaign “one more chestnut tree, one less eucalyptus”.

But before planting we have to complete the plot preparation: underbrush has to be cut and the remaining foliage be picked up.

Postponed until March 8th, SaturdayThus we would like to call on you to come and lend us a hand. It will be next Saturday, March 1st, and we will meet in front of the Betanzos outpatient centre at 9 a.m. We expect to have finished by 2 p.m.

Put on working clothes and don’t forget leather gloves. Since we have few tools, bring any that you may have at home or borrow (sickle, mattock, fork, billhook…). Don’t forget to bring something to eat and drink during the break at twelve.

We advise you to send us an e-mail with your name and mobile phone number, so that we can inform you in case bad weather makes us cancel the activity (in section Contact you can find our e-mail address).

We are counting on you!

Postponed to March 8th: The weather forecast is for bad weather next Saturday, so we’re postponing the activity to the following Saturday March 8th.
