Today we confirmed and extended for 20 years the stewardship agreement of a woodland plot located in Ois (Coirós), thanks to the generosity of Mr. Fernando Álvarez.
With an area of 2,677 m2, this is the second woodland plot to be ceded to Fragas do Mandeo and is located in the same area as the previous one. From now on it will be used for the recovery of native forest, so the first thing we will do is remove the eucalyptus trees that grow in the upper part of the plot. At the bottom it borders the River Mandeo, presenting a well-preserved riparian forest, and within the protected area Betanzos-Mandeo SCI.
